CELEBRATING DR. DAVID YONGGI CHO - A REVOLUTIONARY PASTOR

What a great joy to celebrate a revolutionary servant of God, Dr. David Yonggi Cho.  This little piece is not to remind the pain we experienced when Dr. Cho went to be with the Lord, rather to celebrate and honour the impact of a vessel who was sold out to God after he gave his life to Jesus Christ.

This piece is a reminder for the younger generation to arm themselves of taking responsibilities and fight for the liberation of the message of gospel to all the ends of the earth as instructed by Jesus Christ. We cannot call ourselves ambassadors of Jesus Christ when our communities are in darkness and we are not perturbed to reach out to the dying souls.

There is not much time, since the end time is closer than ever before. The coldness towards church, being experienced in other parts of the world, need to experience revival one more time. We should not allow technology, sluggishness, compromise, laziness and procrastination to allow the enemy to have a field day. As Christians we are the salt of the earth and also the light of the world.

The heathens are our harvest field. We need to wage a war to conquer the enemy. Let us win the world for our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. There is nothing as glorious when men and women commit to the rescue agenda mission of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is counting on us to witness to our brethren who are not save.

Like Dr. Yonggi Cho, he proclaimed about  Jesus  Christ in places where it was seemingly impossible. Today, we celebrate him for his undying passion for God and availing himself to be used of God to bring transformation in the body of Christ. The history of the 20^th and 21^st Century church revolution is incomplete without mentioning the impact of Dr. Cho.

Today in our churches, most people draw inspiration of church growth agenda, cell growth replication, the understanding of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, how to pray effectively, having a structured church organization. Dr. Cho also promoted Pentecostal practices of prayer and healing as essential to dynamic church growth. We believe that this piece will inspire many to desire to be sold out after God.
